Delete your account and data

You may not have an account at all If you have only ever used the app as a guest, nothing about you was ever sent to our servers. Uninstalling the app removes everything, and there is nothing here for you to delete.

Delete it yourself, from inside the app

This is immediate and needs no request to us:

Open Hindu Bhakti Sangrah and make sure you are signed in.
Tap Profile (the last tab, bottom right).
Scroll to Account actions.
Tap Delete my account.
Confirm on the warning dialog. Your account and cloud data are deleted straight away.

Request deletion by email instead

If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in, email welldayreview@gmail.com from the same email address you signed in with, with the subject “Account deletion request”.

We verify the request against that address, action it within 7 days, and confirm by reply. If we cannot verify that the address is yours, we will not delete the account — that protects you from someone else deleting it.

What gets deleted

Your account record and the profile details taken from Google (name, email address, profile photo).
Your cloud-synced saved hymns.
Every like you have given.
Every Chintan post you have written.
The app's cached copy of that data on the device you delete from.

Deletion is permanent and immediate. There is no recovery window, and no backup we can restore from.

What stays, and why

Hymns you saved on the device itself stay on that device, because they never left it. To clear them too, uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android Settings.
Your Google account is untouched. Deleting here only removes the account within this app. To also revoke the app's access to your Google account, visit Google's third-party access settings.
We keep no retained copy of your data after deletion. Backups held by our hosting provider (Google Firebase) roll off on their own schedule and are not accessible to us for restoration.
